BECOMING A GOOD FRIEND

Today modern technology allows us to make hundreds, or even thousands of friends from social networks by merely adding their names to our contact lists and when we wish to end these ‘friendships’, we simply delete their names from our contact list. However, true friendships still eludes many. You will probably agree with me that good friends are very important. You may also recognize that there is more to being a friend than simply clicking links on a computer screen or a smart phone. How can you be a good friend? What does it take to forge a lasting friendship? Read with me as I share with you four principles and practical bible advice to help you be the kind of person others would want as a friend.

PASSION! Where and What It can get You.

John. C. Maxwell in his book ‘leadership gold’ state that ‘Passion is an incredible asset ; every person but for especially leaders. It keeps us going when others quit. It becomes contagious and influences people to follow us. It pushes us through the toughest of times and gives us energy we do not know we possessed. It fuels us in the way that talent, opportunity, knowledge and great team cannot’. Hmmm! Take a deep breath. What do you think? John Maxwell has been a leader for almost Forty years now, so he definately knows what he is talking about. I believe we are all familiar with this advice that says ‘Find something you love to do so much that you will gladly do it for nothing; then learn to do it well that people are happy and willing to pay you for it’. Trust me, that is what great people with great achievement and accomplishment have done in thier career. But then, What is Passion itself? According to english mini dictionary, Passion is any great, strong and powerfu

WHAT IS YOUR SELLING POINT?

I was prompted to write something on this theme becuase i feel the urgent need to tell people that we all have a built in skill in us. A skill that differentiate us from each other. My theme might sound funny or akward but trust me i know exactly what i want to talk about. First and foremost, permit me to hint you a bit on what i mean by ‘Your Selling Point’. Your selling point is whatever makes you unique than others, whatever makes you a hot cake, whatever get people attracted to you or whatever you posses that can lead you to achiving your dreams ahead. Just like David said that ‘ the gift of a man will make way for him and bring him before great men’. In simple terms, your selling point is your inborn talent and skill, what you can do better than another. So let me ask again, what is your selling point?.

2016! ANOTHER 365 DAYS BEFORE YOU

Another 365 days before you..What will you do with 2016? Waow! Its 2016 and am glad you all made it..It was never by our power but to God be the glory and honour..It’s a new year, a fresh start and i hope we wont be carried away by the celebrations but seize the opportunity to define and name the year at these early hours. I know we all want this year to be greater than that of last year. So here i am asking, what will you do with this year to make it greater than last year? Hmm! What a mind blowing question? I bet many of us dont even have the answer to this yet..Common! Lets wake up..if we dont start planning now, when are we going to start? Pick up your pen and notes, and start writing..write down your commitments, set goals and determine in your heart to meet them..But i tell you, this can only be possible if you are not afraid of failure..The fact is, life is very unfair to the fearful, cowards and those who are afraid of obstacles..The shocking truth is that,

YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO LIVE YOUR LIFE ORDINARILY

Ordinary people don’t go far in life. They are always content with their little or no achievement thereby leaving their God given talent to waste. This attitude can be wicked than that of a person who commits a major crime like murder. This is so because a lot of people are out there, waiting for you to impact and influence their life through your talents, gifts, passion and hard work and here you are living like you don’t even exist at all. Yes! When you choose to live ordinarily, it simply means that you don’t exist. Our talents and gifts aren’t given to us only for our benefits but for the benefits of others. So choosing to live ordinarily is like telling God ‘I don’t care about these gifts. I have no use for them, so it was just a waste giving them to me’. Hmm! how will you feel if you gave someone a very important and valuable gift and at the end of the day, the person said to you ‘the gift you gave me was just a waste. I don’t value it. I therefore don’t have any use

Hello World

Hello, Welcome to my Blog. My name is Ikpefua Joy C. Alias Ciana Joy. The second and last daughter and the 3 rd out of four. I’m a young Christian lady enthusiastic about God and life. I’m a lady with a strong will for equal opportunities between the male and the female.   Amidst the hobbies I have, Writing has always been my passion. I don’t have a particular niche on which I write on, but most of my writings are always to inspire people. I write anything that is worth my time and effort, anything that comes to my mind that is worth sharing and anything that talks about equal opportunities for all. I love singing too even though I don’t belong to the worship team in my church. I just love to worship God through my songs, and sometimes I sing for relaxation.

Questions to help you Identify your Goals

I stumbled on this while surfing the net and I feel I should share. Here are seven goal-setting questions for you to ask and answer over and over again. I suggest that you take a pad of paper and write out your responses. Question One: What are your five most important values in life? This question is intended to help you clarify what is really important to you, and by extension, what is less important, or unimportant. Once you have identified the five most important values in life for you, organise them in order of priority, from number one, the most important, through number five. Question Two: What are your three most important goals in life, right now? This is called the 'quick list' method. When you only have thirty seconds to write down your three most important goals, your subconscious mind sorts out your many goals quickly. Your top three will just pop into your conscious mind. With only thirty seconds, you will be as accurate as if you had thirty minutes.

Who do you need to forgive?

He who cannot forgive destroys the bridge over which he may one day need to pass’ says Larry Bielat. When you don’t forgive, you stand the risk of keeping yourself a prisoner. No revenge is as sweet as forgiveness. When you have been wronged, a poor memory is your best response. What really matters is what happens in us not to us. Genuine forgiveness goes a long way because it comes from the heart. When we forgive, there is this inner peace we feel, the joy that fills our heart knowing that we have at last set our heart free from all hatred thereby setting it open it for Heavenly   blessings. Forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them more. Hate, bitterness and revenge only hinders us at operating at our full potential. It kills slowly, makes us to lose focus, and keep us from succeeding in life. Forgiveness must be immediate whether or not a person asks for it.
