POEM: I’M ME. I’M NOT BORN TO IMPRESS OTHERS

I’m only me. That is all I can be. No more, no less, so don’t second guess.

I love, I wish, I laugh. Some days I’m funny, others I’m not

I’ve been frustrated so much that I’ve wished sometimes that I could die.

Sometimes I’m in overdrive and I can’t stop and sometimes

I’m as slow and steady as a snail.

You may not like me but that’s okay because that’s me and how I will stay

So don’t expect that I’ll one day change for you.

I’m only me so what you think of me doesn’t matter

The only person I’m oblige to please is God my creator

I may be weird and be a talkative, but it shouldn’t bother you

It is who I’m and how I’m created so no need to impress you

I do what I love and love what I do. Your opinion isn’t needed

You either accept me the way I’m or excuse me and go your way

After all I wasn’t born to impress anyone but myself and God.

I’m only me so I don’t care about Criticisers or critics

I’m happy to be me. I may not be perfect but I’m at least honest

I might not be the best but I do my things differently from the rest

I never try to be anything I’m not so I don’t need creating false impression

If at all I need to impress people, it’s by my accomplishments and not my possessions

Because to me, impressing people is a valuable waste of time, energy and effort

So please take me as I’m or leave and let me be...........

2016 would forever become a memory in a matter of hours. Before it rolls away, I want to talk about my year 2016. Money Money Money!!! Everybody just wants to make money. Sometimes I wonder if money has any other importance than to get us our basic needs and wants which are just pleasures and are perishable. The thing is, there is nothing that money gives that cannot be destroyed. So why so many of us have become slaves to money I can’t stop but wonder. Yea, money can give us respect and fame. With it, you will never have to suffer anymore. Some even see it as the means to secure their future and future generations. 2016 Review: Niyi Olu Emmanuel, 2016, The Blessings And Lessons So Far

My life has been a testimony as far back as I can remember. I've been through a lot in this little life I've lived so far. Facebook has been an escape world for me and I find strength in my God as I fought my way through in life. After failed attempts to graduate two (2) years back, (I spilled twice), I was discouraged and depressed, but my Jesus is ever sweet to me, I've had beautiful life in Christ Jesus.
