SMILING/HAPPINESS CHALLENGE: DAY 6 (WEDNESDAY)

Good afternoon friends, how is your day going? How was yesterday’s task? Were you grateful after counting your blessings? I hope so because I was exceptionally grateful after counting mine. I just discovered that most of us are so busy complaining that we really do not know the privilege and grace we have that others don’t have.
Well today is April 6th and a friend of mine is celebrating his birthday today. So let me quickly wish him a super happy birthday.

Happy birthday to you ‘ADENUGA MIKENUGA’. On this special occasion of yours, I wish you a wonderful year ahead and success in all your endeavours..Have fun dear..Hip Hip Hip Hurrayyyy...Please don’t forget to send my own portion of the cake oo...#winks#

So many of us have completely fallen into particular daily routines that we tend to forget what really matters. Had a thought recently about how lucky some of my friends were for the kind of peaceful, united and loving home they grew up from (Never really had the luxury of such a home). We ignore people who care about us (although unconsciously) and take favors for granted. We really cannot comprehend the kind of things our parents go through to give us a good life and make sure we don’t lack the essentials.
We are rude to them sometimes and we sometimes make them feel like they are less of who they are. Some of us go as far as taking our friends over them (Yes, it’s that bad).  Can we take a moment and reflect on this? Be grateful to God for giving us the blessing of having parents who care about us (both Dead and Alive!). Some of us have lost one or both parents but we can never forget the indelible mark they left in our lives. Can we endeavour to be more subtle and kind in our dealings with them? Do the little things. Buy things for them randomly. e.t.c. No matter how wealthy our parents are, whatever we buy for them would be among their most cherished possessions. How often do we pray for them? How many times have we dedicated just a time in our heads to seek God’s blessings for them?  These questions require answers!

Now to the task for today,
               Call your parents/Guardians
Tell them :”Thank you for everything”
                Pray for them
               Tell them you love them
               Give us a feedback!

2016 Review: Voke Ogedegbe: 2016, My Blessings And Lessons So Far

2016 would forever become a memory in a matter of hours.  Before it rolls away, I want to talk about my year 2016. I entered 2016 oblivious of the fact it was a new year,  this,  was,  consequence of a terrible breakup I had in the October of the previous year.  The tears and pain that came with my broken relationship saw me through the first two months of the year and one morning in the month of March,  I woke up,  looked into the mirror,  told myself I was beautiful and I deserved more! I really think, the old witch in my village had dropped my picture to use another she fancied more than mine to fan her bosom and that's the only reasonable explanation as to how I received sense that morning. For the first few months of 2016, I laughed,  sometimes,  too hard. This was an attempt to mask my pain,  I put up a nice show - I should be an actress, I even deserve an Oscar. I didn't want the world to know my pain, I didn't want them ...

THE MYTH BEHIND MONEY

Money Money Money!!! Everybody just wants to make money. Sometimes I wonder if money has any other importance than to get us our basic needs and wants which are just pleasures and are perishable. The thing is, there is nothing that money gives that cannot be destroyed. So why so many of us have become slaves to money I can’t stop but wonder. Yea, money can give us respect and fame. With it, you will never have to suffer anymore. Some even see it as the means to secure their future and future generations. Yea, we can buy whatever we want with money, we can go places we want with money, we can step on any toes and we can do and undo anything we like. It has even gotten to the extent that some people can be bought over with money and this so called love we shout all about, has also gotten itself entangled in the web of money. So what are we saying? Money is good and without money, life can be frustrating and tormenting. Hmmm! But come to think of it, despite how powerful and i...

2016 Review: Niyi Olu Emmanuel, 2016, The Blessings And Lessons So Far

My life has been a testimony as far back as I can remember. I've been through a lot in this little life I've lived so far. Facebook has been an escape world for me and I find strength in my God as I fought my way through in life. After failed attempts to graduate two (2) years back, (I spilled twice), I was discouraged and depressed, but my Jesus is ever sweet to me, I've had beautiful life in Christ Jesus. To HIM alone be all the glory. Hallelujah! Hmm! Facebook has afforded me the opportunity of meeting friends, beautiful ones at that. Alphagirl Anthony, a tiny voiced, long legged friend of mine, her crazy posts and character made my days most times as I laughed heartily, you're such a darling. Norberts Cindy, she was first my partner in attacking Rita then she became my Bae, she possess a good heart and "shy", (although I don't believe she's shy sha). I cherish you girl, (still waiting for my birthday post from you sha). Ujam Emmanuel is my g...
